I’m currently working as a freelance producer at Reuters. I work across four desks: News, Innovations, Showbiz and Social Media. My day-to-day involves producing broadcast and digital video packages and sourcing stories through social media. Click here to find out what I do for each desk.
I also freelance occasionally at The Guardian using my social media and video skills to produce Instagram Stories and Posts for their main feed.
Bit of background before freelancing…
I graduated from London’s City University with an MA in Interactive Journalism. During the course, I investigated online abuse against MPs and created the Digital News blog for the university’s research and journalism news.
During the 2017 UK General Election, I worked with Full Fact and First Draft News debunking misleading information across social media.
I’ve also written for Storyful, The Evening Standard, Gal-dem.com, The Times, VICE, Dazed & Confused, The Independent, Indy100, City Metric, The International Media Association and The Huffington Post.
Back to the present…
In my spare time, I’m usually found boxing, reading WIRED magazine and giving Pret A Manger way too much of my disposable income.
